Eirik has been with Simula since August 2013. Before joining Simula, he held various temporary research positions at the Department of Informatics, University of Bergen, from February 2003 until September 2011. From October 2011 to July 2013 he worked as a Senior Software Engineer with Ceragon Networks. His research interests are in the general area of coding and information theory with applications to privacy and security, distributed machine learning, edge and cloud computing, and DNA storage. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Communications.
