| Abstract | Abstract-The Inverse Problems Project at Simula Research Laboratory has during the last five years analyzed and solved inverse problems arising in connection with ECG (electrocardiogram) recordings. In this paper we discuss a framework involving multi-channel ECG data along with advanced mathematical models for identifying ischemic regions in the human heart. More precisely, the ischemic region is identified by minimizing an objective function measuring the difference between recorded and simulated multi-channel ECG signals. Based on this, the functional condition of the heart is visualized in terms of an image. |
